Four more British boxers—Lauren Mackie, Amy Broadhurst, Callum Makin and Oladimeji Shittu—were scheduled for quarter-final bouts on Wednesday.
Reid's path to the semi-finals follows her Commonwealth silver from Glasgow, while Burton's victory over a decorated Olympic medallist marks a significant statement from the 20-year-old. Thomas, at 21, continues his rise in the super-heavyweight ranks. With over half the squad eliminated, the remaining trio carry British hopes into the medal rounds.
