WWE's Main Event Moves to Rumble Streaming Service

WWE's Main Event will begin airing on Rumble starting October 14, Wednesdays at 8 PM ET. The show, which features Raw, SmackDown, and NXT talent, previously streamed on YouTube. WWE's revenue co-head said the move aligns with serving a digital-first audience.
The weekly program, which showcases wrestlers from all three main brands, will shift from its current YouTube home to Rumble's web and app platforms. Since its 2012 debut, the show has moved between several outlets, and this latest transition reflects WWE's ongoing push toward streaming and digital distribution.
WWE's revenue leadership highlighted the importance of reaching viewers who primarily consume content online. Rumble's programming chief pointed to WWE's consistent high viewership across television and digital spaces as a key attraction. Rumble itself launched in 2013 as a YouTube alternative and saw a notable user increase in 2020 when certain political commentators migrated there.
This move could significantly alter how wrestling fans access WWE's secondary programming, potentially driving a new audience to Rumble while changing the show's discoverability. Advertisers may see a different demographic mix, and Rumble could gain credibility as a mainstream sports host. For WWE, it may reinforce a strategy of diversifying distribution beyond traditional networks, though the platform's political associations might influence public perception of the brand.
