Dunlop to Continue as EWC Tire Supplier Until 2029
Dunlop and EWC promoter EMP extended their agreement through the 2029 season. Dunlop remains the exclusive tire supplier for the Superstock and Production classes, a role held since 2022 and 2025 respectively. The partnership also confirms Dunlop as an Official Partner of the FIM EWC.
The three-year extension, announced by EMP and Dunlop, formalizes a relationship that has grown steadily since Dunlop first became an Official Partner of the FIM EWC in 2016. The company's exclusive supply role now covers both the Superstock class, where it has been the sole provider since 2022, and the Production class, which joined the championship in 2025. All competing teams in these categories will continue using the Dunlop KR slick range, with support scaled to accommodate teams of varying sizes and resources.
In the Formula EWC class, where tire selection remains open to multiple manufacturers, Dunlop will maintain its presence with several leading teams, building on its record as the most successful tire brand in championship history. The announcement also references a new allocation system intended to better support Superstock and Production teams. The 2027 season is scheduled to open with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans from April 8–11.
This extension could provide financial predictability and competitive stability for Superstock and Production teams, who benefit from a single supplier with uniform tire performance across the grid. Smaller teams may find the arrangement particularly valuable, as it reduces variables in setup and budgeting. For Dunlop, the continued partnership offers a real-world testing ground for its KR racing range, which could eventually influence consumer tire development.
