Costa Navarino Taps Short-Game Expert for Coaching Academies
Costa Navarino Golf has partnered with PGA master coach Dan Grieve to run a series of teaching academies at the Greek resort. The first academy runs from October 24 to 31, 2026, with a package including five nights at The Romanos and three rounds on the resort's courses. Grieve will expand the programme in 2027 with additional golf schools, private tuition, and his annual invitation-only event.
Grieve's teaching method centers on three distinct release patterns tailored to various lies and greenside situations, a system he detailed in his bestselling book. His home base is Woburn Golf Club in England, where he runs his DG Short Game School.
Costa Navarino's four layouts include The Dunes, The Bay, and two José María Olazábal designs sharing facilities at Navarino Hills. That venue recently hosted the 2026 Legends Tour Trophy, won by Simon Griffiths. The resort also offers stays at properties including The Westin, W, and Mandarin Oriental.
This partnership could broaden golf tourism appeal for the Greek destination, potentially attracting dedicated short-game enthusiasts seeking expert instruction in a resort setting.
