Luxury Golf Breaks Combine Top Hotels and Heathland Courses
The Experience Golf and Exclusive Collection have launched bespoke stay-and-play packages based at Royal Berkshire and Pennyhill Park, offering access to elite heathland courses like Sunningdale, Walton Heath, and The Berkshire. The packages bundle accommodation, tee times, transfers, and hospitality under a single booking. The partnership aims to provide a seamless luxury golf experience across southern England.
The Experience Golf has long operated in Scotland, holding status as an authorized provider for St Andrews Links Trust tee times and serving as official tour operator for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor. This new arrangement extends that operational model into southern England's heathland region, where the densest cluster of elite inland courses exists.
Packages run April through October, with venues including Sunningdale, Walton Heath, Swinley Forest, and The Berkshire, plus additional options like Woking, Hankley Common, and West Sussex. Beyond golf, the hotels offer spas, Michelin-starred dining, and family amenities such as frisbee golf and ice cream service, making stays appealing to non-golfing companions.
This partnership could streamline luxury golf travel by consolidating bookings that previously required multiple arrangements, potentially attracting more affluent visitors to Surrey and Berkshire during the April-October season. It may also influence regional tourism economics, directing high-spending guests toward these hotels and courses. Smaller operators could face pressure to form similar alliances, possibly raising service standards while concentrating premium travel spending among established brands.
