About 80,000 spectators from 40 countries attended the event in Cromvoirt, Netherlands. Golfers can now access the Kyle Phillips-designed course through a day-membership option that includes unlimited golf.
Bernardus has reopened for everyday play after staging the 2026 Solheim Cup on 11–13 September. Europe defeated the United States 15–13, regaining the trophy the Americans had claimed in 2024. Roughly 80,000 fans from 40 nations attended, making it the venue’s biggest event since its 2018 debut.
The Kyle Phillips layout now welcomes visitors via a day-membership package with unlimited golf. During matches, water, sloping greens, wind and a lack of standard semi-rough shaped strategy. Rain on Sunday did not stop play. Bernardus also hosted the PING Junior Solheim Cup alongside the senior event, a first, and introduced a dedicated live radio station.
The event’s visibility could encourage more Dutch and international fans to try golf, especially women and girls who saw elite players compete. Bernardus’s return to regular play may support local tourism and give recreational golfers access to a championship venue. The junior and senior events sharing a course may strengthen pathways for young athletes, though lasting participation gains would depend on continued investment and accessible opportunities.
