Warriors Add Miles Kelly Before Training Camp
Golden State signed free agent guard Miles Kelly to a training camp contract. Kelly played college basketball at Georgia Tech and Auburn, went undrafted, and spent most of his rookie season on a two-way deal with Dallas, where he appeared in 14 NBA games and averaged 3.1 points. The Warriors also confirmed non-guaranteed camp deals for Kelly, Dalen Terry, and Alex Toohey alongside their standard and two-way players.
Golden State’s move gives Miles Kelly another NBA camp chance. The 6-foot-4 guard played three seasons at Georgia Tech and one at Auburn before going undrafted. With Dallas on a two-way deal, he appeared in 14 games and averaged 3.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in 9.6 minutes.
In the G League with Texas, he averaged 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.9 steals over 33 games, shooting .438/.383/.884. He made 3.3 of 8.7 three-point tries per game. Golden State has 15 standard and three two-way players; Kelly, Dalen Terry and Alex Toohey hold non-guaranteed camp contracts. An Exhibit 10 provision could pay him up to $91K if waived and he spends 60 days with Santa Cruz.
Golden State’s camp addition may draw limited broad attention, but it could affect several groups. Warriors fans and Santa Cruz G League followers may see a new roster competitor. For undrafted players and two-way prospects, Kelly’s path could reinforce that G League performance creates NBA chances. Teammates on non-guaranteed deals may face added competition. The wider impact likely remains modest, centered on sports communities rather than society at large.
