Aphrodite Hills Launches PGA National Academy, Earns Family Dining Honor
Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus has opened a PGA National Golf Academy with a 28-bay TrackMan Range and two indoor coaching studios. The facility also includes a six-hole academy course, putting analysis tools, and custom fitting services. The resort additionally won the Family Food and Beverage category at the Family Traveller Awards.
Aphrodite Hills Resort, on Cyprus’s southwest coast, has added a PGA National Golf Academy to its golf offering. The facility includes 28 TrackMan-equipped practice bays, two indoor coaching studios, a short-game area, natural grass tees, and a six-hole academy course. Custom fitting and club repairs are available.
The academy appeared in the resort’s summer 2026 programme. Its Cabell B. Robinson-designed PGA National Cyprus course can be played virtually on 15 screens. The artificial teeline uses SYNLawn UK’s TeeStrike+ surface, also chosen for TGL; the resort calls it Europe’s longest continuous artificial teeline. The resort also won a Family Traveller dining award.
The academy may strengthen Cyprus’s appeal as a golf destination, potentially drawing visiting golfers and families who combine sport with resort dining. Local hospitality and coaching staff could see more demand, while beginners and juniors may benefit from easier access to technology-assisted tuition. The family dining recognition may also influence holiday choices, though broader effects depend on uptake and seasonality.
