Tony Schiavone Recalls Final Conversation With Pac at AEW All Out 2026
Tony Schiavone has shared the last exchange he had with Pac. The AEW commentator remembered Pac asking him a question during the All Out 2026 match against Andrade El Idolo, less than a day before Pac died at age 40. AEW honored Pac on Dynamite with a ten-bell salute.
On his podcast "What Happened When?", Tony Schiavone and Conrad Thompson reviewed All Out 2026. Discussion of a violent Chicago Street Fight between The Brawling Birds and Divine Dominion prompted Schiavone to recall Pac's bout with Andrade El Idolo.
During that match, Pac reportedly pulled himself up near Schiavone's table and quietly asked what they were doing there. Schiavone called it funny and later realized it was their final exchange. Pac died Sept. 27 at 40, less than a day after the match. AEW's Sept. 30 Dynamite included a ten-bell salute.
The story may resonate most with wrestling fans, AEW performers, and colleagues who followed Pac's career. Schiavone's memory could humanize a sudden loss, turning a violent match into a reminder of performers' shared uncertainty and camaraderie. It may also heighten emotional engagement with AEW's tribute programming and how audiences remember Pac's final weekend. The impact is likely cultural and communal rather than broad social change.
