Roma to revisit Endrick loan in January

Roma will attempt to sign Real Madrid's Endrick on loan in January after a summer move fell through. Endrick has played very little this season, and Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has warned that lack of club minutes could affect national team chances. If Roma cannot get him, they have alternatives including Ruben van Bommel, Luiz Henrique, and Giorgi Kvernadze.
Roma’s planned January approach follows an earlier attempt that nearly sent Endrick to Italy, before José Mourinho stopped it. The 20-year-old has since found first-team opportunities at Real Madrid scarce, and Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that limited club action may harm his Brazil prospects.
Endrick’s strongest European stretch came during a half-season loan at Lyon, where he made 21 appearances and contributed eight goals and eight assists. Roma are also considering PSV’s Ruben van Bommel, Zenit’s Luiz Henrique and Frosinone’s Giorgi Kvernadze if the Madrid loan cannot be arranged.
A January loan could affect more than the clubs involved. Roma supporters may gain hope of a sharper attack, while Real Madrid followers could see a talented young player gain needed experience elsewhere. For Endrick, regular minutes may shape his development and Brazil selection prospects. The wider football public could also be reminded how transfer decisions influence young athletes’ careers, fan expectations and national-team debates.
