Marc Marquez won the MotoGP race at Motegi, finishing ahead of Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi. The victory marked Ducati's 100th MotoGP win since Luigi Dall'Igna became Ducati Corse general manager, while Francesco Bagnaia placed eighth. At Motegi, Marc Marquez secured the Japanese Grand Prix after starting second and passing Jorge Martin on lap 11, then controlling the gap to the finish. Marco Bezzecchi joined them on the podium for Aprilia Racing. The result gave Ducati its 100th MotoGP victory since Luigi Dall’Igna took charge of Ducati Corse.
Francesco Bagnaia began from row five, moved into the top ten, and ended eighth. Marquez left Japan second in the standings on 331 points, two behind the leader, while Bagnaia was ninth on 164. Ducati led the constructors’ table with 469 points, and its factory team was second among teams on 495. The next round is at Mandalika.
Ducati’s milestone and the close title fight could raise interest in MotoGP, drawing more viewers, fans, and sponsors to the sport. Teams, riders, broadcasters, and manufacturers may gain visibility, while host regions such as Mandalika could see tourism and local business benefits. For motorcycle enthusiasts, the result may shape conversations about brand competitiveness and rider form, though any social or economic effect would likely remain modest and localized.
