Arnau Tenas admits he would welcome a future return to Barcelona

Arnau Tenas, a former Barcelona Atlètic goalkeeper now at Mallorca, said he would be lying if he claimed he did not want to return to Barcelona. He is happy at Mallorca and aims to help the club return to the first division, viewing his move there as progress rather than a step back. Tenas also praised former PSG teammate Kylian Mbappé and current Barcelona winger Raphinha.
Tenas came through Barcelona's La Masia and Atlètic side, sharing a dressing room with current first-team figures such as Gavi, Pau Cubarsí, Xavi Espart and Eric Garcia. After later stints at Paris Saint-Germain and Villarreal, where he was mainly a reserve, he has found regular football at Mallorca and recorded six shutouts in eight appearances.
In a Catalan radio interview, he described his current challenge as helping Mallorca reach the top flight and rejected the idea that dropping to the second tier represents regression. He also recalled Mbappé as a positive PSG teammate and expressed delight at Raphinha's form, noting the Brazilian had overcome difficult periods.
This story may resonate with football supporters who follow player pathways and club loyalty. Barcelona fans could view Tenas's openness as a reminder of La Masia's enduring pull, while Mallorca supporters may appreciate his commitment to their promotion push. For young athletes, his comments may illustrate that a lower-division move can be framed as development rather than decline. Media coverage could amplify transfer speculation, though any return remains speculative.
