ASRA and BRL Unite for New National Road Racing Championship in 2027

ASRA and the Bagger Racing League will combine their programs under the ASRA/BRL National Championship starting in 2027. The series is scheduled to open at CMP Motorsports Park and finish at Daytona International Speedway. It will merge superbike, production, sprint, endurance, and V-Twin racing on shared weekends.
The new series will place ASRA’s superbike, production, sprint, and endurance classes alongside BRL’s V-Twin competition on the same race weekends. Its 2027 calendar lists twelve stops, beginning at Carolina Motorsports Park in South Carolina and ending at Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Venues also include NCM, Summit Point, Blackhawk Farms, West Desert, Mid-Ohio, New Jersey Motorsports Park, and Roebling Road.
The championship is sanctioned by the AMA and led by ASRA. Organizers say it is intended to create a top-level national platform, offer racers more iconic U.S. circuits, add expense-reduction initiatives, and improve the spectator, sponsor, and media experience through streamed race coverage. A separate Battle of the Baggers schedule includes five rounds.
The combined championship could affect racers, teams, fans, and host communities by putting more classes on shared weekends. Competitors may gain broader national exposure and possible cost savings, while spectators could see a wider mix of sportbike and V-Twin racing. Track towns and nearby businesses may benefit from additional event traffic, and sponsors or streaming audiences may find a larger platform. Whether these outcomes materialize will depend on participation, promotion, and how the schedule and streaming plans develop.
