Women-Only St Andrews Links Tour Set for June 2027
The Experience Golf has launched The 1867 Club, a women-only five-night tour of St Andrews scheduled for 12-17 June 2027. The trip includes rounds at Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie Links, the Jubilee Course, and a guaranteed Old Course tee time for 16 golfers. Participants need a handicap certificate of 36 or lower, and the name honors the year women first played the Himalayas putting course.
The Experience Golf’s 1867 Club is limited to 16 women and runs five nights, 12–17 June 2027. Play begins on Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie Links and the Jubilee Course, then concludes with a guaranteed Old Course round. A handicap certificate of 36 or lower is required for the Old Course. The name recalls 1867, when women first used the Himalayas putting course beside the Old Course.
Guests stay at the Old Course Hotel throughout. The operator, based in St Andrews, has over 30 years’ experience and is an original Authorised Provider to the St Andrews Links Trust, allowing fixed Old Course tee times without the daily ballot. The trip is for women aged 18 and over.
This tour may broaden access to a celebrated golf destination for a small group of women, potentially encouraging more women-only golf travel. It could also reinforce St Andrews’ appeal as a destination for female players and highlight the historical role of women at the Home of Golf. The impact may be limited by the 16-player cap, but it could signal growing commercial attention to women’s golf tourism.
