Cal players and Tosh Lupoi took questions from reporters on Tuesday morning, looking ahead to the Bears' Saturday night game against Wake Forest. The session reflects the kind of midweek media access common in college football, when players and coaches discuss an upcoming opponent before kickoff. It keeps the teams in the news cycle as fans await Saturday night.
For Cal and Wake Forest supporters, the preview may shape anticipation and viewing plans for Saturday night. It could also influence how media and fans frame the matchup before kickoff. Players and coaches may draw added attention, while students and nearby businesses could see modest game-day activity shifts. The broader societal effect is likely limited mainly to the college football community, since preview coverage generally informs those already following the teams.
