Pavlovic Signs Milan Extension Through 2031

Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic has signed a new contract that runs until 2031, adding three years to his deal. His salary rises from €1.7M to around €3M per season after he declined Premier League interest last summer. Milan are also negotiating with Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot, while Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could leave when their contracts expire.
Pavlovic formalized his Milan renewal on Tuesday, extending his commitment by three seasons through 2031. His pay moves from €1.7M to roughly €3M annually, a reward after he rejected Premier League offers and stayed last summer.
Since arriving from RB Salzburg in 2024 for close to €19M, he has made 80 appearances with seven goals and four assists. He became a key figure under Massimiliano Allegri, fits a back three, and retained importance after Ruben Amorim's arrival. For Serbia, he has five goals in 59 caps. Milan are also in talks with Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot, while Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek may depart when their contracts end.
Milan supporters could see the renewal as a sign of defensive stability and a willingness to reward steady improvement, which may deepen their connection to the squad. Players in comparable contract positions might view it as evidence that strong form can lead to improved terms. Followers of other Serie A clubs may regard Milan as more settled, though effects on wage expectations and team morale remain uncertain.
