Matteo Ferrari set the early benchmark in WorldSSP practice at Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto. The WRP Racing Ducati Panigale V2 rider, on Pirelli control tires, lapped the 2.75-mile Spanish course in 1:42.020, fastest among 33 entrants.
Jorge Navarro followed on his PTR Triumph Factory Racing Street Triple 765 RS at 1:42.067, with Albert Arenas third on an AS BLU CRU Racing Team Yamaha YZF-R9 at 1:42.157. Valentin Debise, a former MotoAmerica Supersport regular, placed 18th on the Eastroc Evan Bros ZXMOTO 820RR with a 1:43.037.
This practice result may shape fan interest and media attention around the Jerez WorldSSP weekend, potentially boosting visibility for Ducati, Triumph, Yamaha and the riders involved. Teams, sponsors, and spectators could see changed expectations for qualifying and races, while local businesses around Jerez may benefit if attendance or viewership rises. For followers of motorcycle racing, the session offers an early signal of competitiveness, though practice outcomes do not determine final results.
