Texas State baseball has released its 2027 schedule, which will coincide with the program’s first season in the Pac-12. The slate includes games against Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor, and the report highlights it as featuring Power Four competition.
The schedule was covered on October 20, 2026. A photo caption from the story shows Texas State outfielder Jackson Cotton batting against Louisiana at Bobcat Ballpark in San Marcos on March 21, 2026.
The Pac-12 debut could raise Texas State baseball’s profile, drawing more attention from fans, recruits, and media to the San Marcos campus. Local businesses may see added game-day traffic, while student-athletes could encounter tougher competition and adjusted travel demands. For college sports overall, this schedule alone may have limited ripple effects, but it could signal how realignment continues to reshape matchups and fan interest beyond football.
