Blues’ Tyler Tucker Sidelined After Knee Procedure

St. Louis defenseman Tyler Tucker had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and will be re-evaluated in six weeks. He was injured during training camp and was placed on injured reserve Monday along with Logan Mailloux. Tucker is coming off his first full NHL season, recording 17 points in 69 games.
St. Louis general manager Alex Steen said Tyler Tucker’s right-knee arthroscopic surgery went well, and the defenseman will be checked again in six weeks. Tucker was hurt in a training-camp practice and joined Logan Mailloux on injured reserve Monday.
The 26-year-old is coming off his first full NHL campaign, posting 17 points in 69 games while averaging 14:22. Before that, he had never topped 40 appearances in a Blues season. He is in the last year of a two-year deal with an average annual value of $925,000.
Tucker’s absence may test St. Louis’s defensive depth early in the season, potentially increasing minutes for veterans and creating chances for younger blueliners. Fans and teammates could feel the loss of a developing homegrown player, while Tucker’s own season and contract year may be disrupted. The broader impact likely remains limited to the hockey community, but it may shape how the Blues manage early-season expectations and roster decisions.
