Red Bull Returns as Major Partner for Honda HRC MotoGP Squad
Honda Racing Corporation and Red Bull have agreed to a multi-year partnership that will begin in 2027. Red Bull will serve as a major partner for the Honda HRC Castrol MotoGP team, with its branding appearing on bikes, garage areas, and rider gear. The two organizations previously worked together starting in 2015 and aim to build on that successful period.
Honda Racing Corporation and Red Bull will renew their MotoGP association in 2027, with Red Bull joining the Honda HRC Castrol team as a major partner. The agreement covers multiple seasons and places Red Bull branding on the team’s next-generation motorcycles, garage space, and riders’ apparel.
The two parties previously linked up in 2015, a period that overlapped with several riders’ and constructors’ championships for HRC. Their shared record includes 45 race wins and more than 90 podium finishes. Honda HRC Castrol plans to show its complete 2027 livery and new bike before that season starts.
The renewed alliance may heighten MotoGP’s commercial visibility, giving fans more branded experiences and media attention. It could also influence team resources and sponsor expectations, potentially affecting rival squads and rider opportunities. For Honda and Red Bull, the deal may strengthen consumer recognition across motorcycle and energy-drink markets. Broader effects on local economies or society are likely limited, though fan travel and event spending could rise modestly.
