MotoAmerica Prospects Earn Red Bull Rookies Cup Selection Invites

Four MotoAmerica Talent Cup competitors—Nathan Gouker, Nathan Bettencourt, Kensei Matsudaira, and Derek Sanchez—have been invited to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup selection event at Circuito de Guadix in Spain. The four invitees will attend the Rookies Cup selection at Guadix, Spain, on the tryout’s second day. Gouker, the 2026 Talent Cup champion, won nine races and reached 13 podiums. The 15-year-old from Lexington, North Carolina, knows the Moriwaki bike and has spent the past two seasons training in Spain.
Matsudaira, runner-up with Team Roberts, briefly led the standings after a Laguna Seca double. He reached Guadix’s final day last year and has trained at Valencia’s Aspar KSB Sports Academy with Sergio Gadea. Sanchez plans to learn and improve each session. Rainey said the event will measure them against elite international youth.
