Meronk Ends Long Drought with Dunhill Links Win
Adrian Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at 20-under-par, finishing one stroke ahead of Casey Jarvis. The victory was his fifth on the DP World Tour and his first in nearly three years. Meronk also teamed with amateur Tom Chaplin to win the team event at 41-under.
Adrian Meronk, a 33-year-old from Poland, captured his fifth DP World Tour crown at St Andrews. His previous win came at the 2023 Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters, making the 1,078-day gap between titles especially meaningful. He finished at 20-under, one stroke clear of Casey Jarvis.
Meronk also paired with amateur Tom Chaplin to take the team event at 41-under, becoming just the third player in the championship’s 25-year history to sweep both competitions. The result also protected his DP World Tour playing status for the following season.
Meronk’s victory may raise the profile of Polish golf, giving young players in a smaller golfing nation a visible DP World Tour success to follow. It could also strengthen the Alfred Dunhill Links’ appeal, drawing more attention to its pro-am format and St Andrews. For Meronk, the win may ease pressure by securing status, while fans and sponsors could see renewed commercial interest in his season.
